My Process
I’ve been an artist for over 30 years, specializing in oil painting on canvas. My process begins with your favorite photos—the ones that truly capture your pet’s unique personality and spirit. From there, I design a custom composition tailored to the size of the painting you choose, ensuring that every detail reflects the heart of your pet and the warmth of your bond.
What we started with
After I receive your email with a few of your favorite pictures, and we've agreed on a size, I begin by prepping the canvas and creating an underpainting or "work in progress". I send you pictures of the work in progress to make sure you approve of how the painting is looking so far.

Work in Progress
After the initial or “underpainting” is done, I will send you a work in progress picture to make sure I am going in the right direction. I welcome any and all feedback - this is your piece, I want it to be as perfect as possible. Any changes that you ask for, I will make, then send another work in progress picture to get your approval.
The Final Product
When I think I'm finished with your piece, I send you a picture to get your approval. If any changes need to be made, I will make them and send another pic. The process will repeat until you are 100% happy with the work.

Once you've approved the piece, I will put a protective layer of clear varnish on the surface of the piece. After the varnish dries completely, I box up the piece and send it via USPS, UPS or FedEx - whichever you prefer.
